God there was some real bullshit from the Kiwis involved that killed The Hobbit dead. The Kiwi actors head's got too big and it got to the point of industrial action. The NZ governmet had to get itself involved !! del Toro didn't have time to stick around until it was sorted out. Pity and not a good look internationally for the NZ film industry.
I really wanted him to make this but your point is valid. If anything I think del Toro's vision of Middle earth would have far surpassed Jackson's. The crap involved has meant he has had to look at new projects. I believe he is looking at a haunted house movie. Whatever it is to be I wish he'd hurry up. HellBoy 3 would be quite nice wouldn't it?!BRENThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15953231992674091002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7361829068869115622.post-61354520110566044892011-04-10T03:42:44.565-07:002011-04-10T03:42:44.565-07:00I love the first Hell Boy too. I don't think ...I love the first Hell Boy too. I don't think there is anything about Del Toro's movies that I dislike.

It's a pity he isn't making The Hobbit as he would do a phenomenal job however I am also glad he isn't making it as it would constantly be compared to Peter Jackson's LOTR films.Karinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06675872174982961589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7361829068869115622.post-83066619721226488842011-04-10T03:33:32.760-07:002011-04-10T03:33:32.760-07:00Ireland certainly didn't look very 'Emeral...Ireland certainly didn't look very 'Emerald' did it!! I just love this movie and I cannot tell you how many times I have seen it. It played on telly several weeks ago and suffice to say I partook. Del Toro is light years ahead of anyone else in the world visually and Hellboy on the big screen was simply stunning.BRENThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15953231992674091002noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7361829068869115622.post-55944935027430145352011-04-10T03:19:01.730-07:002011-04-10T03:19:01.730-07:00Brilliant review!
I love everything Del Torro has...Brilliant review!

I love everything Del Torro has made and the Hell Boy films are no exception!

The films are visually spectacular but manage to be very story driven.

The only grip I have about this movie is the rather fake looking trip to Ireland!Karinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06675872174982961589noreply@blogger.com
